What is Rotary?
Rotary unites more than a million people. Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change - across the globe, within our communities and ourselves. There are 1.2 million members in Rotary internationally and over 35,000 clubs. For more than 110 years, Rotary has bridged cultures and connected continents to champion peace, fight illiteracy and poverty, promote clean water and sanitation and fight disease.
Rotary is where neighbours, friends and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders and take action to create lasting change.
Who are Rotarians
Rotarians are people who look beyond themselves to the community, the nation and the world.
They seek the truth and let fairness govern relationships.
They build goodwill and better friendships, and strive to benefit all in every inter-personal relationship.
How Rotarians benefit
Rotarians broaden their circle of friends and acquaintances.
They keep in touch with the mainstream of businesses or professions other than their own and get greater understanding of the problems of others, and gain recognition for themselves and their businesses.
They acquire talents and achieve greater capacities in roles of leadership in club activities, broaden their social life in club activities and are able to give back to their community.
Regular Rotarians increase their knowledge of world affairs, and meet people from overseas, and receive a friendly contact and warm welcome in almost any city or town in the world.
